Five months old and Christmas pictures

We slacked off a little on Dominic's five month pictures in December, so we did them on Christmas Eve.  You can really see the love between Vince and Dominic in some of these.  I am amazed at how much they love each other already.  It is pretty neat to watch them interact and I know it will only get better with time.

Getting ready for Christmas

I was on leave for all of December, so we were able to have a lot of Christmas fun this year.  We decorated the house, made cookies, and even saw Santa.  Dominic did not get to see Santa this year because it was too close to his surgery, but we got our first picture of Vince with him.  I had to be with him in the picture, but it was the closest we have gotten.  It was a good December.

Santa was at the firehouse in Olivet this year.

U of M Hospital Pictures

Motts Children's hospital is really amazing!  Not only did they take great care of Dominic but they took great care of our family.  We have been lucky to have good nurses and doctors in the past and this time was no different.  We were a little unsure of what to expect because U of M is so much bigger than Bronson, but they were great.  Vince did great too.  We did not know how he was going to react to spending time in a hospital, but he did very well.  A lot of it had to do with the U of M playroom they had.  As you will see in the pictures, it was a pretty cool place.

Nick took Vince to Yost Arena and he loved it.
Not really sure why Charlie Brown is at Yost, but Vince enjoyed that too.
The balloon in this picture lasted two months, we finally got rid of it yesterday
They make all of the kids their own name tags for the doors, I thought it was cute.

 Coolest playroom ever!

Very Thankful!

So it has been a long time, but that means things are going good!  Before we update anything, I just want to say thank you to everyone for their thoughts and prayers during Dominic's surgery.  He did amazing and  now you would not even know he had surgery!  There were so many people that reached out to us to give us support, it was really amazing.  We are also thankful we made it though January.  For our little family January has not been good to us.  Four years ago we found out about Vince's Spina Bifida, three years ago Vince had his first shunt revision, two years ago Vince had his second shunt revision, and one year ago we found out something was not quite right with Dominic.  Today was a good day.  I am going to work on updating our blog, it may take a few days, but we will get there.

Love,
Nick, Andrea, Vince, and Dominic
