4 smiles!

I finally did it!  I got 4 smiles at the same time!

Getting ready to go back to school

Well after 5 months off, I am about to start a new school year.  I am looking forward to it, but I will miss my little buddies.  We are going to be changing day care this year after 7 years with Amy and Eric.  We love Amy and Eric, but with there being two babies and Dominic they decided that it would be best to look at other options.  I know they will always be a part of our lives and were exactly what we needed when we needed it!  With that said, our new day care providers are going to be Grandma and Grandpa Santini!  They offered to do it during our pregnancy and after some thought we decided it was the best option.  They moved down here on Tuesday and we have spent the week getting them acclimated to the babies and the babies acclimated to them.  I think it is going to go really well.  The big boys are excited to have them down here too!  I have gotten to spend the last 5 months getting to be with my boys every moment of every day and it has been great.  As a teacher, I know that next summer I will get to spend a couple of months with them again, so it makes it a little easier.

4 month and 4 year stats

The babies are growing great and so is Dominic!  Alex is weighing in at 14 lbs, 6 oz, and 25 inches.  He is in about the 25th percentile.  Tony is weighing in at 15 lbs, 11.5 oz, and 25 inches. He is in the 47th percentile.  Both boys started in the 3rd percentile, so they have made some big gains.  Dominic is weighing in at 38 lbs and 43 inches.  He is in about the 90th percentile for height.  All three boys had to get their shots and that was not a favorite for any of them.  They all did well, but it was a rough day after the shots. :(  They all got over it very fast though.

They were in a pretty sad mood the next day
All was back to normal the next day though :)
This was a couple days later, but they were cute.  The big boys did ask me why they were wearing dresses when I put them in this outfit, silly boys.
Just to show that is is not always smiles, they are overall very happy babies, but can get fussy.

Fun at home

We traveled the first two weekend of August, but have now had two at home and it has been nice.  As much as I love to go up north in the summer, there is just so much stuff to pack with little ones!  In a year or two, there will be much less to take with us!  We were able to go to a Whitecaps game (Grand Rapids minor league team) with the West Michigan Spina Bifida Organization and it was very nice.  We did not quite make it for the whole thing, but most of it.  We are finding that like Vince, Tony has sensitive ears and at the end of the game, the Whitecaps made a big comeback and the crowed was very loud.  Tony did not like it.  Poor buddy.  Overall, it was good though.

Vince did not move from his spot for almost the whole game, he loves baseball

Alex and Tony love bath time!  Alex was super happy after his
Dominic got some hot wheels for his birthday and the big boys think it is pretty cool

Tummy time is a thing that is happening more often at our house and they are doing well with it
They also like the bumbo!

Torch Lake pictures

Like I mentioned in the last post we were able to go to Torch Lake too.  Here are the pictures from that day.

Four month old pictures

Alex feeling the water for the first time! He liked it.  He is not a real fan of cold stuff, but the water was really nice.  Alex does love bath time though

I did not get a picture of Vince in they Kayak, but he loved it.  He went out three different time, twice with Nick and once with Papa.

It was my parents 40th wedding anniversary, so it was nice we were all able to be together.

 Last day of vacation

One more weekend up north

So we decided it would be a good idea to go up north back to back weekends and overall it was good, but it took a while to get caught back up on laundry when we got home!  We went back to Shanty Creek since our first trip there this summer was short.  We did not go to far from the Bellaire area, which was good.  We were able to get out to Torch Lake one of the days and it was beautiful!  The water is the warmest I think I have ever felt!  We went to the driving range and we also went swimming every day.  Swim lessons are in our very near future.  We had a chance to see my family and see some good friends too!

My best friend and her husband and son came to visit us!  We always love seeing them

 Brother time
Sometimes we have a little too much vacation and someone ends up under the table pouting :)
Driving range fun.  Last year when we went Dominic had a melt down because Nick tried to help him and I walked him home immediately.  It apparently made an impact because this year he reminded us that he was being good
They babies enjoyed the walk to the driving range and took a nice little nap
 Pool time.
We have a roller!  He decided that he would skip tummy to back and just went back to tummy to start.  Nick and I both got to watch his first roll, which was nice

We decided to try the ride home a little differently because the way up did not go so well.  I sat in the back between the two little ones.  It went much better!  I found that babies like taking selfies and that eventually they will smile if they look at themselves long enough.
