Wedding #1 of the Summer

We have three weddings this summer and the first one was up near Rogers City.  We went up early on Friday and were able to see some friends before all the festivities began, it was great.  The wedding was at the UAW center near Ocquoc Falls and was really beautiful.  The groom, Chris, is one of Nick's high school friends who went to college with him as well.  Chris and Angie had a perfect wedding and we are so happy we were able to be a part of it.

Dominic slept through the whole ceremony, which was perfect

The ceremony was right on the water, it was beautiful
 Looking good!
Brother, it is ok, let mom take a couple more pictures
Vince is such a good big brother, he was able to get Dominic to smile

Dominic made a new friend in Marty.  Dominic tried to make a lot of friends, all he wanted to do was walk around and see stuff.
I thought this picture was pretty cool that Nick took.
Vince was so excited to dance at the wedding.

Memorial Day

We went up to Torch Lake for Memorial Day this year like we do every year and enjoyed it a lot.  Torch has always been one of my and Nick's most favorite places in the whole world and luckily Vince loves it too.  We are sure Dominic will too when he is a little older.

Getting ready for the first boat ride of the year.
It was a little chilly, but still very beautiful

Dominic was not too sure about his life jacket, but in then end I think he had a good time.

Random pictures of the boys

Here are a few random pictures of the boys.

So we were outside looking at the flowers and Vince fell down.  He did not get hurt, but was upset about falling and I decided to take a picture.  I know, I am pretty mean, but he just looked so sad.
He calmed down really fast and then we got to pick some flowers :)  Everything was good again.
 Eating dinner
Avocado is Dominic's favorite food, he pretty much eats a whole one everyday.  Plus it is really messy and fun to squeeze in his hands.

Graduation

I have been working on my Masters for the past three years and finally graduated this summer.  The graduation ceremony was actually in May, but I did not finish until the end of June.  I got my Masters in the Art of Teaching.  When I started the program I was a little unsure of getting a second degree in teaching, but it ended up being really useful and the best part was most of it was done in my classroom with new techniques and strategies.  I am really glad it is over and at this point I don't have plans to go back to school, but we will see what happens in the future.  Vince also loves to see people dressed up in their cap and gowns, so that was fun for him.  He cant wait to graduate himself. :)

Waiting for the ceremony to start

Not having as much fun as Vince :)

 Just 15 more years
Just 18 more years, almost there!

Vince's Birthday Party

The weekend after Vince's birthday we had a party at our house.  We had about 30 people over and a lot of  kids.  It was a great time for everyone.  It is so fun that so many of our friends and family have kids around the same ages as our boys.  The weather was not great so most of the time we were inside, but a few of the kids went outside to play.  I think the kids had the most fun!

 Birthday Boy

Dominic helped Vince with all of his presents.  This one was a basket ball hoop and Dominic loves it!  He could shoot hoops for hours.
 Cool lawn mower
 Go Tigers
I also made mud cake.  When I was little my Aunt and Grandma made this for us and luckily my Aunt still had the recipe.  Thanks Aunt Lindy, it turned out great!
