The Zoo

A few weeks ago Vince, Dominic, and I went to the zoo with my cousin Lisa and her two boys, TJ and JoJo.  The boys did really well.  We went to the Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek which is about half way for both of us.  They have a very nice zoo with a "train" that takes you to Africa.  We each brought a wagon which was great, but a little heavy at times.  :)  Vince really likes hanging out with his cousins and I know Dominic will appreciate it more in the near future.  It is really nice having them in Michigan now.  I am sure as the boys get a little bigger we will get together more often!

Up North

This summer we decided to take a mini family vacation up north.  Nick and I met 12 years ago at Schuss Mountain and that is where we went (it was also our 6th wedding anniversary).  We were able to rent a condo and it was really nice.  The boys had such a great time.  I think the favorite part was the bunk beds.  We took the top mattress off and put it on the floor and they spent a lot of time going up and down.  We went swimming in the pools, went out to Torch Lake and fished, and just enjoyed being up north.  Another favorite was that we could see the tee box for the first hole at Schuss so Vince sat out on the deck and watched a lot of people tee off.  The British Open was also on, so at times he was watching people tee off and Tiger Woods on TV, it really could not get much better than that. 

 We did not get a picture on his birthday, but this is Dominic's favorite way to be!
