Vince got discharged from the hospital on Monday as scheduled, so we have been back home for the past few days. He is doing really good. He is so much more alert and content since we got back home, so something must really have been bothering him before and hopefully it is all fixed. He's on siezure medication now and will be for at least a month until we go back for follow up tests to determine if he can be taken off of it.
We were shocked when he slept for almost 6 hours Monday night so the two of us got a lot of uninterrupted sleep for a change. That excitement was short-lived though as he was up most of the night last night. We'll see how it goes again tonight.
We've got a busy couple of weeks ahead of us. Vince had an appointment today with his pediatrician, then next week he goes back to Kalamazoo to follow up with the neurologist on Monday, our first physical therapy appointment on Tuesday, and then another appointment with the pediatrician on Thursday to start his first round of immunizations. Hopefully he can get into some sort of sleep schedule because we are going to need our rest.
Now that all of his stitches are out and umbillical cord fell off finally, we were able to give Vince his first real bath on Monday. He did really well with it surprisingly, hopefully that keeps up.
