My Busy Day!

Just a reminder that it is still cold in Michigan!
Mom, I would really like the camera.
How did I do this?
I have not figured out how to go forward by myself yet, but it is so much fun to be pushed around on.
I am such a big boy, I can go up on my hands and knee's
This toy plays my favorite songs!
Look at me climb up the stairs
Dad, what are you doing? Can I help?
I just sat up all by myself!

Here are some pictures of Vince's busy day, plus a couple extras. We hope you are all staying warm.

Love,
Nick, Andrea, and Vince

Walk Walk Walk

We just wanted to share a couple of video's of Vince walking. He is getting pretty good at it. He is gaining so much strength lately. Recently he has been going up on his hand's and knee's and we think he will be 4 point crawling in no time. (The reason you see more of his legs in these videos is we took them for his therapist)

In the video of Nick walking Vince you can hear us encouraging him with washing his hands, which is a new favorite of his. I am not sure how that happened, but he loves it. :)

Also, Happy Birthday to both Uncle Chris (23) and Uncle David (20), they share the same birthday.

Love,
Nick, Andrea, and Vince

Busy week, but good to be home!

We just wanted to let all of you know we got home on Sunday and Vince has been doing great! He did refuse to drink for a little while, but they felt he would do just fine when we got home, and he did. The first thing we did was drink some milk. He seems to be a little sore when crawling on his belly, but other than that, he is acting normal. It is amazing how fast kids re-bound! Thanks for the prayers.

Almost a year

Just wanted to let you know that Vince is in the hospital. We noticed some changes in him this past week and decided to have him checked out. He needed a new shunt. Yesterday he had a new one put in and everything seems to have gone well. We are still here because he has not been drinking fluids so they wanted to keep him one more night so that way when we go home we know all is good. I think we will be able to get home tomorrow. He seems to be back to normal in every other aspect though. We almost made it a whole year with the last shunt, January 19th is when the last one went in. I will post more when we get home.

Thanks for all of the prayers

Love,
Nick, Andrea, and Vince

I would have put pictures up, but our camera died.

Thank You!

Two years ago today, Nick and I found out about Vince's SB. It was a day that shook our world, but now we would not change a thing. Vince is a wonderful little boy, who it strong, brave, sweet, and amazing! He has taught us not to listen to the negative things people have said at times, but to trust him and give him the benefit of doubt because he will do it in his own time.

Over break I have been going though and putting together a book for Vince of all of the posts on here, so someday he can read it and be able to see what his life was like when he was just a little guy. I have really never gone back and read previous posts, I have always just continued it, and I have to say, some of it was very emotional to read and some was very happy. What got me the most about it was all of the love that you have had for us. That is where the thank you in the title comes from. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of your thought, prayers, and support in the last two years. I really believe that you all are a big part of his success.

The last two January's have been a little rough, so we are hoping for a very non-eventful one this year and we hope that all of you have a great new year. It is hard to believe that it is already 2011.

On a completely different note, I have a favor to ask all of you. One of my co-workers daughters is going though some health issues. She is only 7 months old and they are not sure what her diagnosis is going to be, but she is going though a lot of tests right now to determine it. Right now they have given her the diagnosis of failure to thrive as she is not gaining much weight. I would love it if you would all pray for her and her family. They are wonderful people who are taking all of this with stride, but the extra prayers can't hurt.

Thanks again for everything and Happy New Year!

Love,
Nick, Andrea, Vince
