Shanty Creek

Over Thanksgiving weekend, Shanty Creek had a Black Friday deal that was too good to pass up.  We took a bit of a risk picking a random weekend in February, but it worked out great!  In past years when we have gone up north in February we have had horrible weather, but this time it was the best weather of the whole month.  It was warm enough to actually go out and enjoy the snow.  We also were able to see Jesi and her little bump :). She is expecting her first baby in July.  We were able to go swimming and just relax.  I did not take many pictures because we were having too much fun, but I took a few.

 First night up north, it was really beautiful.

 You can see it in the background a little, but they had a bon fire going for the skiers when they came down the hill.  We did not ski on this trip, but hope to in the future.

 We used the indoor pool, but they do have an outdoor pool up and running in the winter.  

 Dinner time.  We did not want to eat out for all of our meals so we went to the grocery store and had some chicken, potato salad, and coleslaw

Breakfast in bed!  They enjoyed this a lot.  At home, food is not allowed in their room, let alone in their bed. :)
