The Lansing Museum

We decided to go to the children's museum in Lansing with our friends/neighbors.  We have been to the children's museums in other cities and this one was very good, just like the others.  It was a little smaller, but that was actually better for the little ones.  We were able to see and do everything they wanted.  The construction zone was the favorite (which was not surprise to me).  They also really liked the light room.

 Hard at work
Yes, we were in Lansing, but we had just gone to U of M and they boys really wanted to wear their new shirts.
Lily in the bubble room.  it was pretty neat.
 Lisa playing with the boys
This was a pretty cool light board that both the boys enjoyed

The nature area.  They were very interested in the fish
Vince, Dominic, Lily, and Drew.  As a side note, Lily and Drew are State fans, and it was the Meet the Spartans night, so that is why they were all decked out in their team stuff.

Fan/Kid Day at U of M

We went to U of M for their fan/kid day and got to hang out with Jesi and Brett too.  Jesi is a U of M fan but Brett is an Ohio State fan, so it was very big of him to come and not even wear any Ohio State stuff.  He must really love her. :)  It was a true summer day and was nice and hot.  We have not had too many of those days this year, as we have not even hit 90 degrees once.  I am not complaining about that, but pretty crazy from 2 summers ago when we hit over 100 degrees several times.  We are now ready for a great season!

Vince and a couple of cheerleaders
 Brothers playing catch
 Tackle daddy!

This looks a lot like it does at home.  The boys really like to tackle each other.

 Vince got to tackle everyone!

So both boys are crying here because there was a guy dressed up as a U of M storm trooper and they wanted to see him until we got up to him.  Then they really did not want to see him!
 Playing catch again

 They did like the flags
And the piccolo (not sure if I spelled that correctly)
The girl who had the piccolo was great with the boys!

Rogers City Fun

We went up to Rogers City for Nautical Festival again this year and it was lots of fun!  The weather was predicted to not be that great, but it turned out to be beautiful!  Everyday was sunny and nice.  We did a lot of fun things.  We watched Softball, a parade, played with cousins, saw some really big equipment, went to the carnival, and dipped our toes in the very cold Lake Huron.  I was a nice little vacation to start off August.
Playing with cousin Ethan!  Ethan was a great playmate with the boys and even shared his candy from the parade!
Getting candy! It took Dominic quite a while to figure out what was going on with the floats throwing candy, but when he did, he was excited.
!
Vince did a good job getting candy and stickers
LOGS!  This is what Dominic was most excited to see.  He screamed logs and clapped.  :)
 Cousin Tiff, Vince, and Ethan
Driving the tractor at the fair.  Dominic did not understand why the rides were so short.  He cried and cried when it was time to be done.
 Driving again at the park
 The water was pretty cold

Even Dominic wanted to try, but that is as close as he got
We also got to meet Wyatt.  The boys were very excited to see a baby.  They both love babies, especially Dominic, which I did not expect from a 2 year old.

Cousin fun

With my cousin Lisa living in Kalamazoo, we try to get together every once in a while.  We are only about an hour away so we should do it more often, but life just gets so busy!  Our boys are all around the same age and get along really well.  We went to their house for this visit because Lisa is getting ready to have their third child.  The boys had a lot of fun and I think the highlight was throwing paper air planes off of the deck!  The boys got to eat lunch on a great little table on the deck too.

Cute one of all the boys
Getting ready to fly more air planes
Jojo was a good retriever of the planes :)  We all took our turns with that.
The perfect launching spot for the planes
Great table for the boys on the deck
Dominic was pretty excited that he could get in and out of his chair by himself.

Family pictures

We had an impromptu photo session because it was so nice out!  We usually do one around the boys birthdays, so it was perfect.  The boys did not fully cooperate at the same time, but we got a couple good ones. :)

 Silly Dominic
 Silly Vince

 A little brother love

This is all he wanted to do, run away :)
