We Bought The House

On May 11th we officially bought our new house.  Nick and I both took the day off of work and signed on it in the morning.  We then went out and bought paint.  The work started on day one!  We painted every room in the house except the master bathroom, boys bathroom and the laundry room, which two have been painted since then and the other one will be very soon, but there were some renovations that had to happen first.  We decided that we would spend the first night in our new house that night.  Prior to buying it, we knew we would be splitting time between the two houses because we had 30 days after selling our old house to be out.  We closed on the houses on back to back days.  We bought blow up furniture to be used in the house without furniture.  It was surprisingly comfortable.  We knew the furnace was original to the house - 45 years old - so we knew that we would have to buy a new one, but what we did not expect, was that it would die the day we bought the house.  Luckily we had someone lined up to come and replace it soon, but it made for a chilly first night in the house.  The boys helped paint some and were pretty excited to be in the new place.  I know the twins did not understand what was going on, but the blow up furniture was pretty fun to them.

 Although it was too cold to go into, Jim had the pool all set up for us.
