Nautical Festival - Day Excursions

For Nautical Festival we made sure we did some of the cool things Rogers City has to offer.  The first full day we did a couple of events, one at the limestone quarry and then we went to the lighthouse. 

 The quarry brings out some big equipment for people to explore a little.  The kids compared to the wheels show you how big the trucks really are!

 They all enjoyed climbing up the machines!

 The Military had a couple vehicles there too.

 After the quarry, we went to the lighthouse. 

 Dominic, Alex, and I climbed up to the top, it was a lot of steps, but very cool

 After we climbed up we walked down to the beach.  The water level is really high.  The wood that you see in the picture is a ship wreak and a lot of the time it is not in water.
